Last weekend was a humdinger in the best possible way—the response to Le Soir was beyond what I’d imagined, and I’m thrilled that so many knitters loved it! A large number of entries came in for the free pattern giveaway and winner has been chosen by random number generator; without further ado, the giveaway winner is…Rebecca! Here’s what Rebecca had to say about Le Soir:
I love the long drape of of the open chevron pattern at the end. I can imagine wearing it over a cocktail dress on a night out to see a ballet. I’d make it in something dark – Lurch, Second Look, or maybe Eternity – so that the color of the dress would shine through and show off the bold geometry of the chevron. It’s a perfect shawl to keep the chill of the theater off your shoulders while still looking elegant and a touch unique/special.
Congratulations, Rebecca! I’ll be in touch about your free copy of Le Soir. (if you want to see the yarn colors Rebecca mentioned in her comment, you can take a look on Miss Babs’ website.) To all the other entrants, thank you for participating, giving your thoughts, and sharing Le Soir! I’m so thankful for all the kind words. There are three patterns left to go, and several more giveaways, so if you’d like to hear about those as soon as they’re announced, be sure to subscribe to this blog. On that note, I do have a special preview to share today…
This is Nuit d’etoiles, the next installment of Mélodies, coming October 21. I just did a photo shoot with it this morning and boy, oh boy, it’s so pretty! I’ll be blogging more teasers over the next 6 weeks; this is one of the quirkiest (and I think most fun!) designs I’ve ever done, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you.
