Design Sneak Peek

A Compendium of Vaguely Related Things

The last few weeks have been pretty scatter-brained, even for me! My needles and hooks are going like mad but there are only a few things I can actually show you. So today I bring you a bubble-and-squeak of the things I can.

First off, I’ve currently got a testing call running for the Silence Tee in my Ravelry group. The smaller sizes filled up pretty quickly, but I’ve got a number of slots left for sizes 56″-80.5″ (to be worn with 4″-6″ of positive ease). If you’re interested in testing, head over there to check out the details, or email/dm me on Instagram if you can’t access Ravelry. The deadline is May 18, but if you need an extension, let me know and we can work something out.

If test knitting isn’t your jam, but you want to make this tee when it comes out, sign up for my email newsletter—you’ll get a notification when it comes out, plus a bigger discount than the general one. I’ll be doing a slightly different style of release for this pattern than the usual, so even though the final pattern is coming out in May, you may want to get on the list before the end of this month…

If you read last week’s post, you’ll recall that I recently bought a new crochet stitch dictionary. I’ve been playing with swatches over the last few days and really, really like this one—can I interest anyone in a crochet garment? If you’d like a crochet garment pattern from me, drop a comment below. If there’s no interest, I won’t do it; a part of me really wants to at least whip up one for myself, even if it doesn’t become a full fledged design. We shall see.

And finally, I made a visit to my new LYS recently and came home, as one should, with some yarn. These two skeins jumped off the shelf into my hands even though I had no idea what I was going to make with them. Inspiration struck shortly thereafter; I even did up a sketch in color and everything. I can’t wait to show you the results!
