It’s time, folks! The 2022 Indie Gift-Along is on!
For the uninitiated, the Indie Gift-Along (GAL henceforth) is a huge multi-designer makealong that is held every year on Ravelry between the week of American Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. There are literally thousands of eligible patterns, plus games, prizes, and some of the liveliest chat threads you’ll find anywhere in the knitting community. (I always make new fiber friends every GAL!) There’s also a huge pattern sale for the first week, with 25% off select patterns by participating designers. More info can be found in the official Ravelry group, and you can find my bundle of sale patterns here, though all my patterns are eligible to be made in the event. The bundled patterns are 25% off until midnight EST on November 28 with the code giftalong2022.
My favorite part of the GAL, though, is making patterns by other designers! Last night was cast-on night, so I started a pair of Mudra Mitts by Lana Jois (Ravelry link) for a secret Santa exchange. I’ve already got several other patterns queued up, and I haven’t nearly explored all the available patterns. How many do you think I can whip up by New Year’s Eve?
If you’re unable to access Ravelry, I’m also participating in an off-Ravelry event this year! Details forthcoming…
