Pattern Release—Hibernaculum Mittens

You know how sometimes you just need a comfort knit? Something quick and easy, but still fun and engaging?

Enter the Hibernaculum Mittens!

These worsted weight mittens feature color blocking and simple stranded colorwork, perfect for using up small amounts of leftover yarn. They’re super fast to knit up and require minimal concentration—perfect if your brain needs a break but your hands want to knit. As you all might recall, I’ve been dealing with some major burnout the last couple of months and knitting this sample helped me to get going again.

I got to use CeCe’s Wool American Ewe Tweed yarn for this knit, and let me tell you—this yarn is amazing! Totally get your mitts on it (see what I did there?!) if you can. It’s super soft but hard-wearing, and the tweed bits are spun tightly into the yarn so they don’t shed. And it comes in a whole range of amazing naturally-dyed colors!

The pattern is 15% off on Ravelry and Payhip with the code HIBERNATE until midnight EST on February 11. I can’t wait to see all your mittens pop up!
